The Sphere

The last time I was in New York, this was in the World Trade Center Plaza, and I had my photo taken next to it.

Mum took this photo for me. Not sure i need to say anything else about it.

(other than what a miracle it is that she worked out how to use the camera).

Stitches Take Manhattan!

Just like The Muppets, but better I promise you. Mr and Mrs Gawuffy snr visited New York just before Christmas last year, and Ern and Lolo went too!

Lolo at the airport. Lolo is flying American.

This is where they filmed the Airport scene in Home Alone 2. How exciting!

Waiting for a connection from Chicago to New York. The twinkles say it all...

Empire State Stitches

These aren't Stitches, but they are lovely. That's also my Mummy. She's lovely too.

Needless to say, none of us are 8 any more. Lolo is close, but Ern is closer.

THIS MADNESS MUST STOP

Imminent pictures weren't so imminent. But I'm about to add some.

So sit tight.

I'm not dead!

Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!

I can't honestly say where I have been. Not on Blogger, that's for sure.

But les Stitches have been on many great adventures. Uploads are imminent!

Stitches Go Postal

Les Stitches return from Le Big Break. No, not that God-awful snooker based gameshow. We just took a bit of time off. What that generally means is that Gareth was too lazy to type anything substantial.

But Tia, Maria and Ern have recieved a parcel.

Who could it be from? There's a clue on the label...

What's inside it? Let's open it and find out!

Ern crawls in and gets stuck

Oh wow! It's Airside's September Showreel DVD, from our good friend, Lady Bra.

Ern can't control his excitement. He sticks the DVD in the player.

Tia and Maria press all the buttons until it plays. This takes quite some time. They are quite stubborn sometimes.

All perch on the end of the bed to watch. Tia uses a mirror to look over her shoulder.

Ern goes in for a close up. He's very excited indeed, bless him.

Maria and Lady Bra.

An Apple a Day..

Well this was an interesting how-do-you-do. Dav's iBook is broken and needs MacOS re-installing.

Ern is a bit of a Mac grand-master. If you ask him, he'll deny it of course. Stitches are very bashful creatures.

The whole family came along. Clockwise from the top: Ern, "All My Friends Are Superheroes" by Andrew Kaufman (a present from Dav to Gareth), Tia, Maria, Gareth's bath of tea. That's 'medium' apparently.

Ern tops up on the coffee.

The master at work. Ern has to dance on the keys to enter commands and skate across the trackpad to move the cursor. A custom installation removing all the un-needed printer drivers and language translations can take him a good five minutes.

Base System is 39% installed. Phew. Time for a sit down.

(Gareth's note: There should be more photo's. Yes. We were in Chester and geared up to spend the day together. Sadly the installation messed up and we had to make an emergency trip to the Apple Store to sort things out. Ern feels very bad about it.)

Picnic

It's a family outing. Tia, Maria and Ern all came on a picnic with us yesterday.

Ooh look! A hamper? And why am I sitting on the map?

Ern is no stranger to the camera. Tia had over-indulged on vegetable kebabs and was looking a bit off colour.

Maria was distracted by a low-flying gull. She's easily scared, you know. She's seen that Hitchcock film.

Life's not easy when you're only six inches tall.

Ern is in a sulk

Ern doesn't want to play computers. It's a nice day and he wants to go outside.

So he's sitting on the CD's having a sulk and staring out of the window.

We'll go out later.

Tia and Maria get a delivery

Tia and Maria are expecting a parcel to come from the nice man at the computer shop.

Tia keeps lookout for the big white parcel man van

How exciting! After just under an hour of sitting and waiting, the parcel man came. He didn't want to have his photo taken though. He thinks Gareth is nuts.

Even with four arms between them, Tia and Maria are having trouble opening the big cardboard box

Finally! Time to study the instructions. This is where two pairs of eyes comes in handy. But Maria seems to be reading Polish. What a clever Stitch.
